This outdoor signage campaign was designed to remind students that the Carolina Union is, as the tagline says, “more than a building” and is made up of many different students who all have different voices, experiences, and interests, and are all “more than a student” themselves. The smaller, single student banners hang in front of the building on light poles at the main entrance bus stop. The larger student organization banners hang on the side of the building facing the most popular campus spot for students to eat lunch and meet friends between classes.

The 2015–2016 academic year marked the first time that the Carolina Union created a promotional campaign for student staff hiring. The entire timeline was moved up to the beginning of spring semester (from summer), so that the Union could compete for the top-notch students seeking out other campus leadership positions. Due to the strength of the marketing materials, the hiring committee surpassed its goal of 100 by nearly 50 applicants. Marketing channels included digital and social media, print pieces, and event signage and promo items.

Treat Yo Self is the Carolina Union’s newest tradition! One Thursday per month, the Union offers students cupcakes and conversation with Union staff. The identity and supporting materials were created to brand the event as a fun break from the typical school day. This campaign was primarily digital (social media, website, and digital monitors), but it also also included a retractable banner, A-frame signage, and buttons. Treat Yo Self Thursday was a rousing success in its first year, attracting at least 600 students per event and capturing honest feedback about building furniture, programming, and more.

In May 2016, my husband and I took a trip to Ireland to visit Galway, Dingle and Dublin. I filmed clips of the road trip using a GoPro and an iPhone and edited them together as a recap video. Highlights of the trip included Connemara National Park, the 12th century Cong Abbey, trad music in Dingle pubs, the Book of Kells and a Redbreast 21 year whiskey.

Snapshots of Carolina is an annual, summer-long photo collage campaign at UNC designed to interact with upperclassmen at home over the summer while welcoming first-year and transfer students at orientation. The digital design pieces promoted the campaign via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and digital monitors to encourage students to send in their favorite snapshots of campus life. Due to the eye-catching imagery of these ads, we collected over 1,000 unique photo submissions to display in the Art Gallery during orientation and Week of Welcome.

Each year, hundreds of Scripps Networks Interactive employees apply to be a part of Mentoring Experience, the company's formal mentor matching program. The fourth Mentoring Experience class included 92 lucky participants, twice the size of previous classes. Programming included a welcome reception at the group hotel followed by a full day of training and a branded competition. Inspired by HGTV's Design Star, mentor-mentee pairs were charged decorating model homes to visually interpret the lessons of the day. The home decorating contest was hailed as "best team building activity to date" by the attending EVP of Human Resources.

The Carolina Union is more than a building, and working at the Union is more than a job. Each year, student staff enjoy themed activities and challenges to promote interaction between different departments. As part of the 2014–2015 Hunger Games theme, I was responsible for creating content for and distributing Mockingjay Mail, the monthly staff newsletter. The balance of fun writing and important staff updates led to an average open rate of 58.8%.

Besides the organizational aspect of project management, I also contribute to creative development and copywriting for both external and internal projects. My time at SNI, UNC, and treetree taught me to write for a variety of audiences—from executives to donors to students to peers. Please see samples below.
